Meditation for All!

The point of meditation is not to find calm. The point is not to become an elevated person...this is not a judgement on how good or bad you are at this. There is one thing we are trying to accomplish in meditation: the resilience, or the willingness, to begin again.

Why we <3 meditation....

  1. Meditation is scientifically proven to help us lead healthier, happier lives.
  2. It eases anxiety, depression, and stress; allowing your body space to focus on healing and thriving physically, as well as mentally. When our minds are in distress, our bodies are too.
  3. It is a practice that requires nothing but you, your mind, and your breath!
  4. It encourages our patients (and ourselves!) to get curious about the state of their bodies, and gives people time to just be. We all deserve that.
  5. It can help you foster the practice of tuning into your breath, which in turn can help prevent and treat many conditions related to pelvic floor dysfunction.
  6. It is a great practice to complement your acupuncture and physical therapy sessions- keeping you feeling your best in between office visits.

Looking for where to start?

Start with our Guided Meditation classes over at The Portal. With many approaches and techniques to choose from, and more being added all the time, Coach Toni and Coach Kathleen are bringing you their favorite tried and true ways to tune into yourself and your needs.

We *all* suck at meditation- but the good news is, meditation isn't about how good or talented you are; it is about the process. We're here with you through it!
